Our Philosophy
Kid's Academy offers a learning
environment that encourages positive
social interactions and  independence,
which promotes high self-esteem.  We
believe that a child's work is play and
that children learn best through hands
on child directed activities.  Kid's
Academy is a place where children can
discover, explore and learn in a safe
environment.  Our curriculum is
developmentally appropriate and
geared to accommodate each child's
individual level of learning.

    We send home monthly
    newsletters to keep you informed
    on the happenings of the
    school.  We feel that open
    communication is the key to a
    healthy parent-teacher
    relationship.
    Programs
    We offer full day, half day full week, or
    partial week programs for children ages 6
    weeks to 12 years!  Call about fee
    schedule for prices.  We are open
    Monday-Friday from 7:00 to 6:30.  
    Preschool is from 9:00-11:00 but children
    are welcome to stay for up to 5 hours
    when registered in a half day program.
    Open Door Policy
    Parents are always welcome
    at anytime here at Kid's
    Academy.  We encourage
    parent participation in the
    classroom!
    Classroom Parties
    We host a variety of parties
    during the year!  We have a
    Halloween Party in October,
    a Thanksgiving Feast in
    November, a Christmas Party
    in December, Valentines
    Party in February, a Spring
    Party in April, and a Cinco de
    Mayo Fiesta in May.  Families
    are welcome!  These are a
    great way to get to know
    your child's teacher and
    friends!
    Meals
    We offer breakfast, lunch
    and an afternoon snack in
    the preschool room, and
    offer breakfast, morning
    snack, lunch and an
    afternoon snack in the
    infant/toddler room.  These
    meals are carefully chosen
    from each of the food
    groups.  We believe that
    children are at their best
    when they are eating foods
    that are healthy.  We are also
    on the USDA Food Program
    (equal opportunity).  
    Staff
    The teachers here at Kid's
    Academy are trained and
    educated for this
    profession.  Their
    qualifications far exceed the
    state guidelines for
    preschool teachers.  They
    are dedicated to making a
    positive difference in the
    lives of young children.
Kid's Academy is owner operated.  Abbie opened
First Years Children's Center in August of 1997.  
Prior to opening this center, she did daycare out of
her home in the neighborhood for 5 years.  She has
been working with children for 18 years.  Abbie
used to attend this center when it was Dandylion
Daycare and went to West T.V. Elementary.  It has
been her dream and goal to own a daycare /
preschool.  Abbie is very dedicated to making a
difference in the lives of young children.
Terri has always wanted to make a positive
difference in the lives of families by creating a place
where parents will feel good about leaving their
children without causing financial hardship. Kids
Academy is a quality, affordable, caring, and loving
center that offers high quality childcare .
